1984 Mustang Club of America Grand Nationals

August 10-12, 1984

Kingsport Mall, Kingsport, Tennessee

Mustang Monthly stated the following in their article about the 1984 MCA Grand National in Kingsport... "Of the many Grand National Shows, Kingsport, Tennessee always comes to mind.  The First Tennessee Regional Group, one of MCA's finest, has show experience second to none.  They hosted the largest Grand National on record in 1981 with over 250 beautiful Mustangs registered in fierce competition, and that's only the beginning."

But the 1984 MCA Grand Nationals was not going to break any records.  Just over 150 Mustangs registered for this show.  There were a lot of MCA National shows this year and that coupled with other economic factors (higher fuel prices and a poor economy) could've contributed to the lower number of Mustangs entered.  Nevertheless, the show was very nice and well organized.  Those who did come had a great time.

First Tennessee Regional Group raffled off this beautiful 1965 Mustang 2+2 Fastback during the 1984 show.
